Welcome to Our Practice

Welcome to OIT of Western Michigan, Your Food Allergist Specialist in Grandville and Grand Rapids Michigan

Allergy Associates of Western Michigan is excited to announce our new division, OIT of Western Michigan. We take the privilege of caring for patients with food allergies seriously, and are proud to offer a treatment that is both safe and effective.

Several years ago, Dr. Miller began considering the possibility of managing food allergies with more than simply strict avoidance of problem foods. His desire to improve his food allergic patients’ quality of life led him to study the process of oral immunotherapy. He spent many years reading literature and studying protocols before he developed the process we now use in our office. Our current protocol is largely based on a system that has been in use for over 10 years, assisting more than 15,000 patients. Since we began offering oral immunotherapy in 2019 we have successfully desensitized patients to milk, egg, soy, peanut, and tree nuts, and we continue adding more food allergens to this list.

Our offices are featured on the Food Allergy Support Team website, which is dedicated to educating and supporting food allergic patients, families and caregivers.  This site contains blogs on many food allergy topics, as well as other educational links, and is a valuable resource for anyone desiring to understand more about food allergies, their management and treatment.

We hope to provide you or your child the chance to safely enjoy foods without fearing the risk of reaction. If you desire freedom from the restrictions and anxiety food allergies can cause, OIT may be right for you. Our office is happy to assist you with answering questions or scheduling an appointment today.
