What To Expect

At your initial visit we will do an in-depth review of your medical history, and perform a limited physical exam, with allergy skin testing if indicated. The OIT process will be reviewed, followed by ample time to ask any questions you may have. Some patients may require an in-office oral challenge prior to starting OIT, which will also be discussed at this visit. We do recommend you read the FAQ page on our website prior to your visit.

Points to Remember.....

  • Please plan on arriving 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to allow for review of your insurance and personal information.
  • Evaluating for allergies and other allergic conditions can be a lengthy process. Please allow for approximately two hours when planning for your initial visit. Some of this time will be taken up waiting for skin test results. You may want to have reading materials or other quiet interests with you during your appointment.
  • Use of cell phones to make/receive calls is restricted to the entryway of our office building. Please exercise respect for our patients and staff by keeping cell phone use limited to this area.
